FFF and Butter...

Blog Question...
Any of you Bloggers out there want to tell me how to link a blog to someone's name? For example, I would like to put a list of my favorite blogs in my blog but instead of it showing as the url, I'd like for it to just show as the bloggers name and when you click on their name you are taken to their blog. I can't figure out how to do that so if anyone has any tips and would like to leave it in my comments, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
FFF...
I say I am new to the blog world but that is not entirely true. For about 3 years I have been following one particular blog (or "stalking" as my friend Aimee likes to say) and through that blog I have found many more that I enjoy following. One that I love to read is from a phenomenal woman in Florida named Heather ( http://www.faithfulfroggers.blogspot.com/ ). Every Friday she posts pictures of her kids and calls it Favorite Foto Friday (aka FFF). Well I've come to learn that another woman named Sarah ( http://kissthefrog4me.blogspot.com/ ) is actually the creator of FFF so I checked out her blog yesterday and asked permission to join them in FFF. Here is how it works...
Every Friday Sarah posts a theme on her blog for FFF. For those of you who know me, you know that I am all about themes. If you listen closely, my blog music is always related to the theme of my post as is my blog backdrop. Sick, I know! After Sarah posts the theme, you sort through your pictures to find ones that fit the theme, post them on your blog, and then leave a message for Sarah on her blog and she will post a link to your blog on her blog! I love this idea because it has forced me to go back to old pictures that I had forgotten about! It was fun! This week's theme was "Messy faces" and here is my first attempt at posting for FFF (Thanks Sarah!):
F's first bubble! This was about to become a messy face! (5.5 years)

A different kind of messy! While coming down the stairs from our deck, poor F got his shoe stuck in the TOP stair! The shoe stayed there while the rest of him came flopping down the stairs head first. He landed on the concrete slab at the bottom and slid across it. OUCH! (6 years)

F enjoying a popsicle at his Soccer party! (6 years)

F after enjoying a candy cane! (6.5 years)
We don't have a lot of pictures of F messy because he was older by the time we went digital!

K has always loved coloring! (2 years)

K loved the smooth creamy feel of Desitin! After I took the picture, I bathed her and as soon as I turned my back, she did it AGAIN! (2.5 years)

K loves her 'sghetti! (3 years)

K enjoying a cupcake - pink of course! (6 years)

Ok, so it's not really a messy face but it cracks me up every time I see it! I walked into the room to find M with a foam disc from her brother's disc launcher stuck to her head! (10 months)

M says "Nothing beats chocolate pudding and corn"! (11 months)

M's first birthday!

This was M's first attempt at applying lipstick! (20 months)

Butter...

Recently one of my friend's invited me and the kids to join her and her new beau for dinner (we'll just call him "new guy"). She is divorced and had just started dating this guy and she wanted me to meet him. Now my friend is the mother of 2 kids and she is a pediatrician. You'd think she'd know better than to mix kids with "new guy" but add the fact that "new guy" has no kids of his own...this was a recipe for disaster! She should have known better. I should have known better. We all should have known better!

My husband was working that night and K was at a sleepover at her grandma's house so it was just me, F, and M. My friend had the table set nicely with all of the necessary accompaniments such as salt & pepper, and butter. She served up the food and we all sat down to eat. Within moments M who just turned 4 started taking carrots off the plates of my friend's kids. I explained to her:

"M, this is not good table manners. Please remember all of the things Mommy taught you about eating politely."

She took her napkin and placed it neatly on her lap and settled nicely into her chair. I thought:

"Ahhhh, we're golden now."

Oh how wrong I was! Wrong, wrong, wrong! So very wrong! My attention was diverted from her for what seemed like a split second and then I saw "new guy's" eyes widen and his expression twist a bit. I looked back at M and it was at that very moment that time began to move very slowwwwwly. There was nothing I could do. The damage was done. There sat M with the butter dish in her hand and a look of complete and total bliss on her face. I think we could safely call the expression "Butter Bliss". She was licking - yes licking - the butter. We're not just talking an "Oh this butter looks so tasty, let me just dab the tip of my tongue to it while no one is looking." kind of lick but more like an "Oh my word! I have never tasted such a treat in all of my 4 years. Let me smear it all over my face while I inhale this creamy delight!" kind of lick.

I wanted to crawl into a hole. I wanted to disappear. I wanted to catch the first flight to anywhere but here. All I could think of to say was:

"M is the child who taught me that it's not always the parents' fault."

We promptly removed the butter dish.

ok let me see if I can explain this. When you are posting, highlight the name that you would like to post a link to, then click on the link button it looks likt the world with a broken circle, then it will bring up a box. Put in the URL there and it will be clickable in your post. I hope that makes sense.

oh I think we both know that butter is a yummy treat that should only be enjoyed straight from the little waxy paper!! Sounds like your M and my P should get together and have some creamy, buttery goodness.

Or we could just give them a cup of espresso and watch them implode!

Love
