FFF; Summer Lovin'...

The theme for this week's Favorite Foto Friday is "Summer Lovin'" so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to post some pictures from our trip to California.

Besides the fun afternoon we spent at the beach with Christina and her girls (you can see a post about that day by clicking here), we were lucky enough to have 2 more glorious days playing by the sea! The first day was with my parents and the second was with our friends.

Beach Day With Nana & Pop-Pops (6/6/08):

This is Torrance Beach which is located at the base of beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula...
The kids had a blast collecting all kinds of beach treasures like rocks...sand crabs...seaweed...
and mermaid tails (aka more seaweed)...They played for hours in the sand...and Nana even buried them in the sand...For those of you who don't know M personally, this picture is worth a thousand words! She is ALL ABOUT the snacks...Unfortunately for M, this seagull was all about the snacks too. It kept getting closer...and closer...and M was NOT too happy about it...Now this here is what you call a "take it out on prom night" kind of picture...





Beach Day With Friends (6/18/08):

We hit the beach one more time during our trip. This time with one of my very best friends in the whole world, Sue. Sue's son S is F's best buddy but unfortunately S and L had Football camp this day so they couldn't join us. However, Sue's hubby Ross and their son B did and we all had tons of fun. Of course Sue and I were so busy gabbing that I didn't take very many pictures.

Here are a few shots of the kids playing in the surf...
Here is Ross giving the kids some pointers...such as how to stand sideways so the waves won't knock you over...Look closely, can you see the fins of the dolphins that were playing just yards away from us....
We love the beach and will miss it...until our next Cali visit!
